While the existing shell of the building was kept intact, the facades and interiors were radically renovated. The L-shaped residence and its outdoor spaces are penetrated by a translucent, steel-structured glass partition, which gives a contemporary feel to the old building. The glass sheets become transparent at their upper section, giving the illusion that the timber false ceiling is suspended in the air.
